Sourcing: Obtained only from pieces of Bursera Graveolens (Palo Santo) trees that have fallen naturally and laid on the ground for years before collection – never obtained by means of harming or cutting any live trees.
The collection, processing and exportation of our slices is strictly regulated by the Ecuadorian government to ensure full compliance with local laws, which are in place to protect and maintain sustainability.
Every shipment containing a new batch of Palo Santo slices is imported into Canada with valid Phytosanitary certification issued by the Ministry of Agriculture in Ecuador, as well as a Heat-Treatment Certificate to ensure that our product is free of any potential pests. Both documents list ARTTA Trading as the legal importer and are declared to Canadian Government Agencies in the Customs clearance process.
